Paris Hilton cancels documentary screenings 'to gain publicity'
New York, Sept 5 (ANI): Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has forced the organisers of prestigious Toronto International Film Festival to cancel two of the three screenings of her documentary in an attempt to gain more publicity.
The 27-year-old socialite asked the festival organizers to cancel two of three screenings of her documentary "Paris, Not France," for promotion.
"We wanted to create more buzz - create some hype . . . We felt the impact would be more extreme if we had one screening," the New York Post quoted Hilton's rep Jason Moore, as saying.
"She is a partner with the documentary and will be attending Tuesday's screening in support of it," he added.
However, miffed festival programmer Thom Powers told Post movie critic Lou Lumenick: "I wish we could do more, but it's better than not showing it at all." (ANI)
