Nicole Kidman replaced by Selena Gomez in 'Monte Carlo'

New York, March 7 (ANI): Nicole Kidman has been replaced by Selena Gomez in an upcoming movie 'Monte Carlo.'

The film is based on the book 'Headhunters' by Jules Bass, reports the New York Daily News.

The story is about a trio of women who try to pass themselves off as rich ladies vacationing in Monaco.

Kidman, who is also a producer of the comedy-in-development, was originally slated to star before it was decided that the script should be youth-enized.

Now two of the women are college students and one is a graduate student. They're on a cheap holiday in Paris when they flee to Monte Carlo to live the good life, even if they are also living a lie.

The movie, to be directed by Tom Bezucha, begins filming in May.

According to Variety, Kidman may take on a supporting role. (ANI)
