V. Vaidhilingam to be sworn in as Puducherry CM today

Puducherry, Sept 4 (ANI): V. Vaidhilingam will be sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Puducherry here today.
Lt. Governor Govind Singh Gurjar will administer the oath of office and secrecy to him along with five other ministers.
The formation of a new ministry became necessary as N Rangasamy stepped down as Chief Minister on August 28 following sustained revolt by a majority of the ten Congress legislators, including five ministers of his six-member cabinet, against him.
V. Vaithulingam, who will become the Chief Minister for second term, had held post 1991 to 1996. He also headed the Congress Legislative party from 1991 - 2000. (ANI)
