Internet Search Engine giant Google Inc. is finally going into the ring to knock out Microsoft’s biggest Internet tool, Internet Explorer, with a new web browser ‘Google Chrome’ as announced in its official blog.

Microsoft Corp. has recently announced to unveil safe and secure browser Internet Explorer (IE) 8 with more control on private online data. In this response, Google, which so far had tied the knot with Mozilla’s Firefox for navigating the web, has on Monday announced to introduce the beta version of Chrome that will be available to download from Wednesday Morning (September 03).

It would be fast, safe and designed in a sense to work with the next generation of web technologies. “Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go,” claims Google in its official blog.

Initially, its Windows version will be available while later Linux and Mac version will also come soon. “We're releasing this beta for Windows to start the broader discussion and hear from you as quickly as possible. We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too, and will continue to make it even faster and more robust.”

Commenting on why to launch Chrome, Google officials said, “We believe we can add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web.”

Like other Google products, ‘Chrome’ will also be open source- free to download – software, as per official.

Google the biggest advertisement earner on internet with its ad publishing tool ‘Adsense’ can also be the strongest contestant of Internet Explorer if it hits on the market like its other famous tools – Google Apps, Google Suggest Lab, Google Video, Orkut - the social networking site and YouYube, the famous open source online video site.

At present, in the web-browsing field, Google has the market share of 10% with Mozilla Firefox, the second biggest internet navigator after Internet Explorer that has the market share of 80%.
