London, January 28 (ANI): Manchester City star Stephen Ireland's girlfriend Jessica Lawlor has criticized the use of the word 'WAGS,' used to address footballers' partners.
Lawlor asserted that people should not assume that they have no ambition.
"I think the whole WAG thing is a bit ridiculous. It's started to get used as a harsh term, they say if you're a WAG you do nothing or just go shopping all the time and that's not the case at all," the Sun quoted her as saying.
Lawlor, who is a mother of three kids, said that she is busy most of the time.
She said: "My day starts at 7am doing the school runs. We don't have a nanny so there are three children to look after.
"When people see the cars and house they say you have an easy life, but any mother of three young kids will know that in itself is not an easy job - money doesn't change that."
Lawlor had caught attention last year when Ireland gifted her a 264,000-pound red and white Bentley.
She has 18-month son Jacob with Ireland, and two kids- Joshua, five and Jessica, three- from a previous relationship. (ANI)
