Dalai Lama to be discharged from hospital today
Mumbai, Sept 1 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama will be discharged from Leelavati Hospital here today.
The 73-year-old Dalai Lama was admitted to the hospital with "abdominal discomfort". He had cancelled all his engagements for the next three weeks to undergo medical check-up and take rest.
In recent years, doctors have increased medical checks to ensure that the Dalai Lama stays in good health.
Meanwhile, Tibetans in Dharamsala continued their prayers for the speedy recovery of their spiritual leader.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner had returned to Dharamsala on August 24 after a two-week visit to France mainly to give lectures on Buddhism, but during which he also criticised Chinese policies in Tibet. (ANI)
