Kandhamal (Orissa), Aug 31 (ANI): Orissa would remain under night curfew till the restoration of complete normalcy in all urban areas of Kandhamal and Jeypore town of Koraput District.

Reportedly the bus services have resumed from Phulbani town of Kandhamal district. According to the Deputy Commissioner of the area the district remained incident free for the fourth day today. The focus is now on relief and rehabilitation of people rendered homeless during recent violence.

The Orissa Government has directed all the districts to take immediate precautionary measures to protect minority institutions.

According to the State Home Secretary the government has requisitioned ten more companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to strengthen enforcement of law and order in the state.

He said eleven companies of Central para-military force and three companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) have already been deployed in Kandhamal district.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is visiting the violence-hit areas of the district for second day on Sunday as day curfew was lifted in almost all blocks. However, in Jeypore town of Koraput district the day curfew was partially relaxed except town police station limit. (ANI)
