Anne Hathaway to receive Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award

Washington 15 (ANI): Actress Anne Hathaway will soon be honoured with Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award by the Ivy League university.

Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the country's oldest undergraduate drama troupe, intends to acknowledge her "contribution to entertainment."

Seemingly, the 27-year-old beauty has been chosen for the variety of roles she has played in films like Brokeback Mountain, Becoming Jane and Rachel Getting Married.

"That theatre aspect really hit home for us, for the Pudding, and we're so excited for her to come," People magazine quoted the group's spokesman as telling The Harvard Crimson student newspaper. he award is part of a tradition that began in 1795, when Harvard members of the club pledged to bring "a pot of hasty pudding" to each meeting.

Renee Zellweger has been a recipient of the award in the past. (ANI)
