Twilight movies inspire Aussie brides to go for gothic wedding gowns
Melbourne, Jan 11 (ANI): Gothic wedding gowns are fast becoming a rage among Aussie brides, thanks to vampire books and Twilight flicks.
"The general trend with all the designers is vintage 1930s, but the direction it's taking is vampire romance," the Herald Sun quoted Glenn Findlay, managing director of Australian Bridal Service, as saying.
He added: "Even though the characters in the Twilight series don't dress like traditional vampires, the romance around the concept is really hitting a nerve with young women in particular. Movies tend to control bridal fashion direction."
Even make up has not been untouched by the new trend with brides demanding misty eyeshadow and red lips to match a pale skin.
The new look will also be showcased at the Bridal Exhibition, Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens, next weekend. (ANI)
