Vote counting for UP Assembly election will start tomorrow
May 10: The counting of votes for the 403 member UP Assembly will start tomorrow morning, May 11. Bearing in mind the situation in the state the Election Commission has arranged for tight security measures at the counting stations. The commission wants safe and fair counting.
The counting will start in the morning from 7.

00 a.m. and the first result will be declared by 11.00 a.m. as per the declaration of EC. Apart from the disputed Khaga seat, counting will be held for all other 402 members. The counting for the Khaga seat has been cancelled because of the death of a candidate.
The Election Commission does not want any kind of disturbances from the local henchmen and has already deployed around 20,000 Central Paramilitary forces. Additional police has also been asked for in all the counting centers. The Commission has also directed the local officials and the Chief Electoral Officers of the state to keep an eye on the timely developments.
Security officials have also installed video cameras for keeping vigil on the election agents inside and the candidates outside. Besides that counting halls are being strongly guarded to protect the electronic voting machines.
