The strike, in which teachers from 22 central universities across the country are expected to participate, will be accompanied by a day-long fast by the federation office bearers.
The teachers observed a similar nation-wide strike earlier this month to press their demands.
The federation attributed increasing attrition rate to poor packages and slow promotional avenues.
The federation wants higher pay scale at the entry level for teachers. It has also demanded fast and sound career advancement scheme for the teachers.
Chaddha Committee, which was appointed in September 2007, has said it would take at least three more months to complete its report. (ANI)
