Ponting rates 'young', 'mysterious' Pak team much better than West Indies
Melbourne, Dec. 25 (ANI): Australian captain Ricky Ponting is wary of the 'young' Pakistani team, and has described the visitors as a much better side than the West Indies.
Ponting said he expects the Pakistani players to fight hard during the series, adding that the team has 'boundless talent'.
"They're a better team, a more skilled group of players than the West Indies, no doubt. We know with Pakistan when they put their best foot forward they're a very good cricket team. They do have a lot of mystery about them - that word sums them up the best - but you look at their side, there's a number of very good players," AAP quoted Ponting, as saying.
Ponting is particularly concerned by Pakistan's impressive bowling attack which includes young pace sensation Mohammad Amer and Mohammad Asif.
He also pointed out that Pakistani spinners, off-spinner Saeed Ajmal and leggie Danish Kaneria, could also spell trouble for the Aussie batsmen. (ANI)
