15th NSCI Rajiv Gandhi Marathon Run on Aug 31
The 15th edition of the NSCI- Rajv Gandhi Marathon Run for school children from the slum and Jhuggi-Jhonpuri clusters of Delhi being held under the aegis of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, will be flagged off on August 31, 2008, (Sunday) from the Ambedkar Stadium at 9 a.m.
Over 15,000 school children from Delhi’s government, MCD, and NDMC Schools are expected to participate in the races to be held in two age groups of boys and girls category – 6 to 10 and 10 to 14.
The race will start from the Ambedkar Stadium and will pass through ITO and Mathura Road before concluding at the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) gate. The run takes place every year in New Delhi in which selected best runners will be given cash scholarships.
