Sri Lanka Series: India sets a target of 258
Despite a lower order collapse, Team India managed to put a decent total of 258 but only after an impressive partnership between skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina who made a valiant effort with a 148-run stand for the fourth wicket.
After opting to bat first, India went down to 51/2 in the first fifteen overs losing both Gautam Gambhir (17) and Yuvraj Singh (0).

However, it was Raina who made an almost run-a-ball innings of 76 (78 ball) and most importantly a partnership with captain Dhoni.
Earlier, opener Virat Kohli (54) regained his confidence after scoring his half centuries. Dhoni too got his fifty in just 60 balls and went on to score 74 before falling to T. Thushara.
However, India after losing both Raina and Dhoni lost its momentum and only managed to score 258 in 49.4 overs from 224/4.
Tushara was the leading wicket taker for the Lankan with five wickets in his kitty.
