Ashley Cole hopes to become FA Cup legend by May
London, Dec. 9 (ANI): England left-back's Ashley Cole, who has been part of three FA Cup winning teams, wants to become a legend by lifting the cup for the fourth time in May.
"I think you just have to take every competition as it comes, whatever comes first. As a player your main aim is Champions League and Premier League, but to win every trophy would be great," The Mirror quoted Cole, as saying.
"To win the FA Cup for the sixth time and make history would be amazing. I enjoyed last year so much, but to win six would be out of this world," he added.
Cole has won the FA Cup three times before he left Arsenal - in 2002, 2003 and 2005. And now he is aiming to become the first player in the history of the competition to lift it on six occasions.
Three players, Charles Wollaston of Wanderers, Arthur Kinnaird of Wanderers and Old Etonians and Jimmy Forrest of Blackburn Rovers - who won his fifth in 1891 - share the record with Cole. (ANI)
