Moneyfacing - the latest internet craze

London, Dec 9 (ANI): Moneyfacing - the act of placing a banknote in front of one's face - has become the latest craze to infect the web.

Netizens pass their time by photographing themselves with a banknote strategically placed in front of their face, so creating an often bizarre-looking 'hybrid' or 'third' face.

Usually either the upper or lower half of the banknote is used to create the fusion, reports the Telegraph.

But occasionally, the entire banknote is used and visually conjoined with the person's shoulders to generate a full-body effect.

And it becomes more amusing when a regular human face is combined with facial features that one would not expect to find there.

Examples of this include a woman using a 10-pound note to give herself the abundant, luxuriant beard of Charles Darwin, or a man using the top half of a banknote to make it appear as if he is wearing the Queen's crown.

Banknotes from as far afield as the USA and Singapore have been unwitting accessories to the craze, which is a variation on the theme of 'sleevefacing', a previous Internet trend where people obscure their faces with album covers. (ANI)
