London, Dec 9 (ANI): Sir Elton John has vowed to support the Ukrainian toddler he was banned from adopting.
The 62-year-old singer, who married David Furnish in a civil partnership in 2005, wasn't granted permission to take little Lev home because Ukrainian law forbids gay couples from adopting, reports the Daily Star.
Furnish has admitted that he and Johan were left devastated in September (09) when their bid to become parents was rejected on the grounds of their sexuality.
However, Furnish said his partner is determined to give the 14-month-old tot a good beginning in life and will provide him and his brother with "the best health care, education and family options available to them".
The singer met Lev in an orphanage in Makeeva, Ukraine earlier this year (09). (ANI)
