Bermo (Jharkhand), Dec 4(ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi did hectic campaigning in Jharkhand on Friday, where he was canvassing for his party's candidates, ahead of the third stage of the state's five-phased elections to the state's legislature.

Addressing a rally in Bermo in Bokaro district, Gandhi asked the people to bring Congress party in the state, if they want their mineral rich state to progress.

"Our hands are tied in the states where we are not in power. We cannot work for the development of the people. You will have to work to bring Congress Government in the state, which will be the Government of common man," Rahul Gandhi said.

Eleven constituencies would go to polls in the third phase slated on December 8.

In third phase, seven seats will vote, while 14 and 15 constituencies respectively will vote in the fourth and the fifth phases.

The first two phases of the polls were held on November 25 and December 2 respectively.

Counting of votes will be held on December 23. (ANI)
