Church attacked at Sulur in Tamil Nadu
Coimbatore, Dec 1 (ANI): Miscreants attacked a Protestant church functioning under the Church of South India (CSI) at Sulur in Coimbatore.
The attack by the miscreants who are yet to be identified has created panic among the members of the Christian community living in the area.
According to an eyewitness, few unidentified persons pelted stones at the Church and damaged windowpanes.
However, the attackers ran away after the residents rushed to the spot.
They found a bag containing a bottle of petrol, a diesel can and cotton waste to indicate that the attackers had intention of arson.
Authorities of the local Diocese believe that by attacking the church, the miscreants wanted to create panic among the Christian community living in the area.
The police are investigating to identify the attackers. (ANI)
