Nepal Parliament passes 2009-10 budget
Kathmandu, Nov 25 (ANI): The Nepal Parliament formally passed the annual budget for fiscal 2009-10 on Wednesday after months of delay caused by the Maoist obstruction.
Finance Minister Surendra Pandey tabled the financial bill, the bill on national debt recovery and the bill on debt and collateral.
He had presented the Rs 285.93 billion budget four months ago.
Speaker Subash Chandra Nemwang declared the annual budget endorsed unanimously as none of the lawmakers expressed notes of dissent on the provisions in the bills.
On Tuesday, the House passed the Appropriations Bill by an overwhelming majority after 27 government ministries furnished their response to queries raised by lawmakers during a discussion on the same, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
