Aussie singer Delta Goodrem's party gatecrash gave her big break
Melbourne, Nov 25 (ANI): Aussie singer Delta Goodrem credits her impromtu performance at producer David Foster's birthday party for her big break in to the US music market.
Goodrem has been invited to sing with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli at his American Christmas concerts after wowing Foster with her talent when she gatecrashed his birthday.
"I'd been doing a performance at a radio station and was asked to come along to this party next door to say hi to some people," the Daily Telegraph quoted Goodrem as saying.
"I didn't know it was David Foster or that it was his birthday.
"There was a piano and mic there and he asked me if I wanted to get up and sing.
"David Foster is someone I have looked up to my whole life . . . and he called me later saying that he would look out for something for us to work on together.
"David has produced Andrea's album and they were in the studio organising these concerts and called me up. I think it may have been fate singing at his birthday," Goodrem added. (ANI)
