US President Barak H Obama showed a positive response to achieve a landmark on civil nuclear deal. Assuring the 'global strategic partnership between India and the United State', Obama said, "I welcome prime minister's support for the non-proliferation agenda that I laid out in Prague. I look forward to India's participation in our nuclear security summit next year, as well as India's participation as a full partner in our shared vision of a world without nuclear weapons."

In this regard, Obama and Singh issued a joint statement, according to it "The two leaders reiterated their intention to realise the full potential of the India-US Agreement for cooperation concerning the peaceful use of nuclear energy through the implementation of its provisions. They agreed to expedite US firms' participation in the implementation of this agreement."

To work on this issue, a nuclear summit will be convened in US in the leadership of US President next April. Indian PM will visit Washington again to attend this summit. This summit will focus on securing nuclear materials and combating atomic smuggling.

Obama and Manmohan, both were ready to take on strict steps to counter the global terrorism. In this regard, Obama said, "United States and India are natural allies not just around counter-terrorism issues, but on a whole host of issues."

On the other hand, referring to Indo-Pak relationship, he said, 'US wants to find ways which can help in reducing tension between the two countries so that they can devote their resources towards the developmental aspects.'

Remembering the jolting Mumbai attack last year, Obama stressed on preventing future attacks. "Both the countries have agreed that their respective law enforcement and intelligence agencies would work even closer, including sharing information," he said.

Welcoming the Obama’s move, Manmohan said, "India welcomes the renewed international interest in nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. We have been a consistent advocate of a world free of nuclear weapons. We will work with the US and other countries for the success of the Nuclear Security Summit which President Obama is hosting next year."

Inviting Obama to India, Manmohan said, "I have invited President Obama to visit India. A very warm welcome awaits him, his gracious wife and his two daughters." Obama admits the invitation of Manmohan and promise to visit India next year.

Besides nuclear deal and countering terrorism, they agreed on transferring the high technology - the second key objective for India, an educational exchange programme, defence cooperation, peacekeeping, maritime security and protecting sea-lanes of communication, humanitarian and disaster relief, agriculture, health and space technology.
