No sponsors for Pak-NZ Test series leaves PCB in the lurch
Lahore, Nov.25 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) expectations of making huge money from the New Zealand Test series has been shattered, as it has failed to find a title sponsor for the three match series.
The PCB was hoping that the series would help it boost its sagging financial fortune, but the board's marketing department failed to rope in any sponsors for the series which commenced in Dunedin on Tuesday.
The PCB is required to pay about 500,000 dollars to Cricket New Zealand (CNZ) to cover the expenses for the series, while its only source of income now is a share of the gate money receipts and sale of the hoardings and banners in the stadiums, The Daily Times reports.
Despite all efforts the PCB failed to attract sponsors for the series due to the odd timings of the matches. (ANI)
