Govt. tables Liberhan report in the Parliament
A day after the uproar from the opposition over the alleged leakage of 'Liberhan Commission report related to Babri mosque demolition', the UPA government today tabled it at 12:00 p.m. in both houses of Parliament after the end of 'Question Hour'. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned due to hullabaloo at the time of submitting this news.
A day after tumult in the parliament overt the alleged leakage of Liberahan Commission report, the government today decided to table it on the each houses of Parliament after the Question Hour. Earlier, to take a decision in this regard, an unscheduled meeting was reportedly convened by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in the absence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is at present in Washington D.C, today morning.
The Liberahan Commission report and the Action Taken Report (ATR) report has been tabled with the English version in both the houses, sources informed.
The report, which was submitted by former Justice M S Liberhan on June 30, 2009 after a span of 17 years and 48 extensions, was reportedly to be tabled after few days with Action Taken Report. But, after the din in Parliament over the alleged leakage report, the government was nudged to table the report today.
According to the leaked report, the leader of opposition L K Advani, Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, former BJP leader and Ex-Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Kalyan Singh and other VHP and RSS top brass have been accused of having 'acknowledgement' about the demolition.
