Washington, Nov 24 (ANI): Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly contributed a whopping 6.8 million dollars to charities in 2008.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, which has obtained a 2008 tax return for their Jolie-Pitt Foundation, the amount is double of what they donated in 2007, reports Us magazine.

It has emerged that the 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' couple's Jolie-Pitt foundation earned just over 13 million dollars, half of which they handed over to various charities.

The biggest recipients of their list, include Global Health (2 million dollars), Human Rights Watch (1 million dollars), Brad's Make it Right Foundation (1 million dollars), which has been building eco-friendly homes for Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans.

They also gave 500,000 pounds to the Armed Services YMCA of the U.S. Army; 50,000 pounds to the Springfield, Missouri Public Schools (Pitt's hometown); and roughly a million dollars to projects in Cambodia- the country from which they adopted their first child, Maddox, now 8. (ANI)
