Gap between Labour and Tories narrowing down: Poll

London, Nov. 22 (ANI): The Conservative party is ahead of the Labours just by six points, according to a new poll.

It has been the narrowest gap reported by a poll this year between the David Cameron-led Tories and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Labour party.

The Liberal Democrats were on 17 per cent in the Ipsos MORI survey.

If the percentages are repeated at the General Election it would result in a hung parliament, The News of the World reports.

Cameron needs an extra 1.9 million votes to win, a new research shows.

The Tory leader requires 10.6 million people to back his party to achieve a working Commons majority.

They got just 8.7 million last time so must persuade almost two million voters to change their minds, according to UK Polling Report.

They could win a tiny majority with a fraction of the extra votes if they took Labour's 112 most vulnerable seats. (ANI)
