Pierce Brosnan lends his voice to 'Thomas the Tank Engine'

Melbourne, Aug 25 (ANI): Irish actor Pierce Brosnan is all set to lend his voice to the big screen adventures of British icon, 'Thomas the Tank Engine'.

 

The movie is a new feature-length special, Thomas and Friends: The Great Discovery, which will be released in Australian cinemas in early November.

 

The movie goes on about Thomas and his friends Gordon, Percy and new character Stanley discovering new locations and embarking on exciting adventures, including a scrape with a very stinky cheese.

 

Hoyts cinemas will hold blue carpet premieres in Sydney and Melbourne, and will screen the movie in selected cinemas around the country from November 2.

 

Thomas and Friends was first broadcast in 1984 and was created by the Rev W Awdry to keep his son entertained while bedridden with measles.

 

Brosnan is not the only star who has lent his voice to the classic children's show, he follows in the footsteps of former Beatle Ringo Starr and actor Alec Baldwin. (ANI)
