Brit tennis star Murray hits out at critics ahead of London showdown

London, Nov.22 (ANI): British tennis star Andy Murray has vowed to stick to his game plan, as he begins his quest for glory at London's O2.

The Scot wants to end his year on a high by winning the year-ending event, having already clinched six titles in 2009, reports The Sun.

Several former British players have attacked Murray's "passive playing style", but Murray insists he has no intention of changing.

He said: "They're always entitled to their opinion, but I work really, really hard with the guys I am coached by to come up with the right game plan. Some people seem to think I'm not tactically astute, but you can't get to No 2 in the world if you're one-dimensional."

"If I went out this week and played very aggressively, serve and volley, and lost all three of my matches, people would ask me what I was doing. You can't win in that situation," he added. (ANI)
