Lady Gaga to sing for Queen at annual Royal Variety Performance
London, Nov 20 (ANI): American singer Lady Gaga has been booked to perform in front of the Queen for this year's Royal Variety Performance.
Lady Gaga, 23, real name Stefani Germanotta, is said to be an unusual choice for the event, which has traditionally featured artists from light entertainment such as Bruce Forsyth, Nat King Cole, Cliff Richard and Katherine Jenkins, reports the Telegraph.
She is best known for her outrageous outfits and performances, such as at New York Fashion Week when she wore a see-through red lace bodysuit and g-string.
The Queen's aides will be hoping that Lady Gaga tones down her act for the Royal Variety Performance on December 7 at Blackpool's Opera House.
The event is staged in aid of the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund, whose patron is the Queen. (ANI)
