London, August 25 (ANI): 'Coldplay' frontman Chris Martin has revealed the secret behind the success of his band - getting behind their sewing machines for a good stitch and bitching
He has revealed that he and his bandmates do not believe in shelling out huge sums of money on designer threads.
"Making clothes together in our studio makes us feel complete. We probably sound like a group of grannies in a knitting circle but it's the truth and it gives us some control over our visual identity," the Mirror quoted him as saying.
Unlike most artistes who would devour the mini-bar or trash the room while staying in hotels on tour, Chris said that his group would seek out the needle and cotton.
"We see if they have a sewing kit in the amenities draw in case we feel inspired," he said.
"When you are a big band and everyone is taking shots at you, the more things you can do together the better. And if you're wearing uniforms made by your own hands it helps achieve that," he added.
Chris also revealed that the band were the band would release another album next year, using material left over from Viva La Vida, including a song with fellow sewing-nut Kylie. (ANI)
