Maoists blow-up school building in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Nov. 10 (ANI): Maoists have blown-up a school building in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Tuesday to prevent the security forces from using it as a temporary camp during the upcoming assembly elections due on November 25.
"We heard a blast sound in the night between 1:00 to 1:30 am and when we came here to check, we found that the school had been blown up," said Dilip Kumar, a local.

He added that Maoists were shouting slogans against the police administration while leaving the school premises.
According to sources, a group of Maoists stuffed detonators and explosives in the school building and triggered the blast.
Maoists left behind pamphlets warning the police officials against using schools as camps.
The rebels have ignored repeated calls to renounce violence and negotiate. The have stepped up in recent months, prompting the government to go after them in a concerted strike. (ANI)
