Mel Gibson is an 'incredible' father, says girlfriend

Washington, Nov 10 (ANI): Mel Gibson's girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has praised him for being an 'incredible' dad after he spent three days with their new born daughter, Lucia Anne.

Russian singer Grigorieva gave birth to Lucia on October 30 and has since been going gaga about Gibson's 'daddy skills' even though he could only spend three day with his tot due to work commitments.

"Mel's very hands-on. He was amazing while he was here for a short visit. He has been very doting and nurturing. He is incredible with children, very kind," Contactmusic quoted Grigorieva, as saying.

She added: "He's an amazing person and he treats everybody equally. That's what I know. I know him as a very kind and generous person, embracing his friends and family. He's tremendous as a dad, unbelievable.

"He's ecstatic. He is very much in love with her already. She just wins people's hearts, she's so beautiful and tiny."

Gibson, 53, had to leave the filming of his latest flick, The Beaver, as he rushed to the Los Angeles hospital where Grigorieva gave birth to their daughter.

Although he missed the birth, he stayed on with his new family for three days before resuming the shoot on Monday.

Oksana told Hello! mag: "I was at home then I got rushed into hospital and, eight hours later, I could look at her beautiful face. Mel came just a few hours later because he had to fly from New York."

Gibson is already a father to six sons and a daughter with former wife Robyn, who filed for divorce in April this year to end their 28-year-old marriage after nearly three years of separation.

Grigorieva has a 12-year-old son with actor Timothy Dalton. (ANI)
