Godhra issue continues: Modi becomes target, yet remain confident
Oct 31: Some people remained loyal to Narendra Modi when they should have shrugged their loyalty for it was the need of humanity but alas! They are crying aloud at the time when the power game is kicked off.
This is also ridiculous that it took 5 long years for them to come out of Modis cocoon.
Recently, Suresh Mehta former Chief Minister and a senior BJP leader has remarked that the Godhra train burning and the communal violence aftermath was pre-mediated and pre-planned.
With a series of allegation he also alleged that “Modi used to have meetings only with some of his close confidants, and he would never invite me to attend them”.
Can their motive be scanned? Can they be punished for not deciding right thing at right time?
While Congress decided not to admit Gordhan Zadaphia and Suresh Mehta in their party who will still campaign against Modi in the coming election. But politics will be there as it is time for congress to cash on this issue, so the other BJP leaders who have voiced against Modi will be given ticket (not as controversial as Zadaphia and Mehta).
Moreover Congress has planned to field Rahul Gandhi for campaigning in Gujarat; to which Modi reacted and challenged the young leader to "convince" people of the state "about his politics".
"Let Gujarat be a training ground for him and let him use all his skills to convince the people of Gujarat about his politics," he further added.
The BJP who is gearing to take the campaign for its return to power again has roped many of film stars to do the job and the anti-Modi elements like Keshubhai Patel, Mehta and Kashiram Rana are kept aside in the campaign for having anti-Modi sentiments.
The appalling condition of minorities and arrogant behavior of Modi continue to inflate the grievances of Gujarat.
The Godhra carnage which moved the whole nation at the plight of people who were begging for help and the word that came to thrashed them further was “we have no order to save you” from those who were assigned to guard.
This was Gujarat for those who asked mercy, this was Gujarat for those who were raped and killed many helpless to make them handicapped forever, in their conscience that they suffered because of a religion.
Now when the nations focus will be at Gujarat during its upcoming election, the whisper that is coming from rebellious faction should be cared before it becomes too late.
This time too Modi is confident for may be he is projecting himself on the voters who will show their surge of emotions and vote him back to the power.
This is the irony of people out here who forget their duties but remember their rights.

October 31, 2007 at 12:00 AMAfter reading u'r article i felt, u have written a propaganda article. Who is in majority in india? Muslims, christians, brahmins, rajputs, OBC, Sc/ST. Today's politics will categorize india's religious affiliations in this fashion, hence Muslims and christians are in majority. What a shame, u idiots, donot want to see things rightly. If it were a OBC reservation policy, u convinently side with majority (these were same people u ruled india for centuries, but declare themselves as backwards).. Good going.. If thinsg continue in this way, in my life time i am sure to see chinese flag flurring on our vidhan sabha, and we will have a chinese priviosal government in india, just not that, u and me will be working in some chinese sweat shop..

October 31, 2007 at 12:00 AMPlease don't forget the incidents that lead to the riots. The burning of the train. Whatever happened to either side was wrong, should be condemned.
No one is talking about the Kashmiri Pundits being kicked out of Kashmir. The inhumanity caused to them, but godhra continues to be a big issue.
Please look at the progress the state has achieved under Mr. Modi. Please look at the number of riots that happened after godhra, none. Reason being that people are aware that hindus can't be subjected to injustice.
Mr. Modi, you have my vote!!!

I alway surprise how people can support a person like Narendra Modi who is responsible for violating human rights. I visited Ahmedabad some time back and found that most of the people there are satisfied with Modi and were talking about the progress has been made during his period. I do not understand how killing innocent people can be justified on the basis of progress. I am a Hindu and I am sure about what Hinduism is. People who want to give political color to Hinduism are not only harming non-hindu people, they are polluting the great image of Hinduism which people all over the world have in their mind and r know Hindu religion for its tolerance and plurality of thoughts.
People are referring Kashmir Pandit and killing of Hindus in Godhra, but I will say that it is not justice in a civilized world to a kill a Gujarti Muslim for killing a hindu, who has nothing to do with killing of the Muslim.
