Huge cache of arms recovered from Bankura in West Bengal
Bankura (WB), Nov 7 (ANI): West Bengal police recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives from Bankura district.
More than 18 kilograms of RDX, two rocket launchers, one 9mm pistol, two loaded Chinese pistols and one land mine were recovered.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, Officials said the seizure was made on Thursday when two youths riding a motorcycle were intercepted at a check-post.
"Two people were coming on a motorcycle and when we intercepted them they left the motorcycle and ran away. On checking the motorcycle we recovered arms and ammunition," said Niraj Falid, sub divisional police office of Khatra police station.
No one has been arrested in this connection. But the police believe the arms and ammunition were meant for the Maoists. (ANI)
