Campaigning ends for Assembly by-elections in seven states
New Delhi, Nov. 6 (ANI): Campaigning for the Assembly by-elections in seven States ended on Thursday evening.
Constituencies in the States of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Kerala, Rajasthan, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Chattisgarh are going for polls on Saturday.
A total of 31 constituencies --11 in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in West Bengal, 3 in Kerala, 2 each in Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and one in Chhattisgarh will witness by-polls.
Polling for the by-election to the Firozabad Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh will also be held tomorrow. Counting of votes will be held on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been put in place ahead of the 7th Nov bypoll to the Kannur assembly constituency in the wake of alleged anomalies in fresh voters list. (ANI)
