Blue Star Infotech successfully implements a decision support system at D'damas
Mumbai, Nov 5 (ANI/Business Wire India): Blue Star Infotech, a leading provider of IT Services to enterprises globally, announced that it has successfully implemented a Decision Support System at D'damas, a widely popular and leading jewelry brand in India.
In order to have a unified view of its business, D'damas was looking for a solution that could seamlessly integrate information from various internal sources such as Sales, Inventory and Accounting and generate consolidated reports with minimal manual intervention. D'damas selected the Enterprise Business Intelligence solution of SAS for building its Unified Enterprise Portal. Blue Star Infotech, with a proven history of delivering enterprise portal solutions, was selected as the implementation partner.
According to R.K. Menon, COO of D'Damas - "Generating routine and specific MIS and mission critical reports pertaining to merchandising, inventory, sales and finance, through multiple sources of applications was time consuming and involved duplication and multiplicity in roles. The need for a solution which would integrate all these needs and yet be able to function independently of each other was felt. It was then that SAS India and Blue Star Infotech approached D'damas, with a proposition to implement a SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence solution. "
Sam George, CIO of Gitanjali Group, further adds - "It was gradually becoming a nightmare to collate information from all those different systems operating in those individual departments, to get one unified view of operations through accurate and timely reports. Blue Star Infotech helped us overcome these problems, by implementing a SAS-based Business Intelligence solution. The solution provides us a comprehensive 'one source of truth', through the ad hoc as well as standard reports and KPI based dashboards. This has helped us in getting more accurate mission critical information much quicker than what it used to be."
According to Satish Gaonkar, Vice President, Consulting Services Practice at Blue Star Infotech: "We are delighted to have successfully delivered a key decision-enabling solution to D'damas. This solution has enabled the management team to view timely and accurate representations of operational and business information and focus on resolving business problems." (ANI)
