London, Aug.23 (ANI): The British firm -- P.A. Consulting -- which lost the secret records on 84,000 prisoners, won 240-million pounds of Government contracts - including Labour's ID card scheme.
According to The Sun, the firm sparked a furore this week after losing a computer memory stick holding details of all 84,000 prisoners in England and Wales. Confidential records on 43,000 of Britain's most prolific criminals also vanished.
PA Consulting has also carried out work for the Ministry of Defence, Treasury and Cabinet Office, as well as the Departments for Children, Health and Transport - costing nearly a quarter of a billion pounds.
It is now expected that the Home Affairs committee will grill the Home Secretary when Parliament returns. (ANI)
