BJP leaving no stone unturned to form the govt in Karnataka

Oct 31: The sword of uncertainty still hanging on the political fated of Karnataka and Governor busy consulting constitutional experts with no display of his cards, BJP is leaving no stone unturned to grab the opportunity to get the first chief minister from his party in the South.

BJP is trying to mount pressure on the governor through different channels to invite its combine with JD (S) to form the government. Following which Karnataka state wing of BJP has decided to launch an agitation program “Save the democracy campaign” before Gandhi statue on M.G. road in Bangalore and continue it till BJP-JD (S) combine is invited by the governor to form the government.

But at the same time its alliance partner JD (S) has decided to stay away from the agitation in Bangalore or Dharna in Delhi. Even H D Kumaraswamy has advised its allies to wait for one or two days.

This is not all; BJP once again on Tuesday sent a petition to Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur to press their demand. Mr. Yeddyurappa and BJP state party president Sadanand Gowda had a meeting with the Governor and expressed satisfaction over the assurance given by the governor.

After the meeting the BJP chief ministerial candidate Yeddyurappa reflected hope of being invited for forming government in the state by the governor.

To intensify the pressure even in New Delhi, a delegation of party MPs from Karnataka state would meet President Pratibha Patil to urge her to persuade center to recognize the valid claim of Mr. Yeddyurappa to form the government in view of the majority of members with him.

This is to be known that BJP chief ministerial candidate Mr. Yeddyurappa commands the majority of 129 MLAs including the member of JD (S) which he also paraded before the governor on Tuesday. After the meeting Governor found the number satisfactory and assured that he would send a factual report to the center within the constitutional limits.
