Sania to remain out of action from US Open
After puling out from the first round of the singles competition of the ongoing Beijing Olympics, India’s ace woman tennis player Sania Mirza will also remain out of action from the US Open tournament 2008 due to wrist injury.
Owing to her incessant injury, she has had pulled out from a number of events in recent past including the French Open. She has been advised for a three- week rest by her doctor while the last grand slam of the year US Open starts from Monday.
Her inconsistent performance and out of action schedule have cost her a lot in the latest WTA ranking where she is slipped at 65th slot in the singles chart, issued on Aug 18.
Sania Mirza had returned to the campaign in Olympics almost after a three-month break following a surgery on her right wrist.
