Beckham to join England team despite ankle niggle
London, Oct 4(ANI): England midfielder David Beckham will join the the national squad on Tuesday despite a prolonged ankle injury, which has been a cause of worry for manager Fabio Capello.
Beckham had, earlier, missed Los Angeles Galaxy's MLS game in Columbus last weekend, but was part of the team which Chicago Fire on Friday night, which guaranteed the club a place in the MLS play-offs for the first time since 2005.
Though Capello's representatives were not present at the game, but the fact that Beckham managed to play for 90 minutes without any significant blemish would guarantee his place in the England trip to Ukraine and the Wembley clash against Belarus, The News of the World reports.
Once Beckham reports to the squad, the FA doctors will also monitor his injury. (ANI)
