Chaka Khan to be honoured in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, Sept 25 (ANI): American singer Chaka Khan will be honoured in Malaysia for her contribution towards unifying the world via music.
The 56-year-old songtress will be receiving The Brand Laureate Brand Personality Award from The Brand Laureate initiated by The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF).
The Brand Laureate is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and improvement of branding standards in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.
It is considered The Grammy Awards for branding.
The Brand Laureate Brand Personality Award honours many outstanding individuals for their contribution to the brands and industries that they represent.
In a statement, The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation said that the award recognises the efforts done by Chaka Khan and her Chaka Khan Foundation to encourage youth around the world to take education seriously in order to be successful in life, reports the New Straits Times Online.
These awards are endorsed by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and its patron is former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. (ANI)
