British Olympian Rebecca Romero's naked picture was doctored
London, August 19 (ANI): British Olympic sensation Rebecca Romero's mother, Beverley, says that recent naked pictures of her daughter were doctored.
Rebecca, the first British woman ever to win Olympic medals in two separate disciplines, appears crouched over the handlebars of her bicycle wearing nothing but a determined look in the picture clicked to advertise sports drink Powerade.
However, her mother insists that the image was airbrushed to hide the cyclist's underwear.
"Rebecca is 28, she's old enough to make decisions to do things like that," the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
"She has had other offers that she turned down. She did talk to me about it and it was tastefully done and they air brushed out the underwear that she had on," she added.
Beverley, however, did not reveal whether triple jumper Phillips Idowu and swimmer Gregor Tait, who also stripped off for the photographs were equally modest.
She also revealed that, unlike many other Olympians, her daughter did not have a childhood dominated by training from an early age.
She said that it was only when Rebecca took up rowing at the age of 17, after moving to the family's current home in Twickenham, south west London, that her talent was spotted. (ANI)
