Ranchi, August 17 (ANI): The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has withdrawn support from 23-month old Madhu Koda government in Jharkhand.
JMM Supremo Soren handed over the letter of withdrawal of support to Governor Syed Sibtey Razi.
The decision was taken unanimously in a crucial JMM Central committee meeting in Ranchi today.
Shibu Soren presided over the meeting, all 17 legislators, four MPs besides the members of Central Committee took part in it.
Chief Minister Madhu Koda has virtually no option left but to resign from the post of Chief Minister as no United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government can be formed without support of 17 members of JMM.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Laloo Prasad Yadav said that no hasty decision should be taken in Jharkhand where JMM Chief Shibu Soren staked claim for Chief Ministership.
Talking to reporters in Delhi, the RJD leader said that his party will go by the decisions of the other UPA partners in the state.
RJD is part of the ruling coalition headed by Chief Minister Madhu Koda.
Meanwhile, the former Chief Minister and the BJP leader Arjun Munda has arrived in Delhi for consultation with senior party leaders about the future course of action. (ANI)
