Oct 22: After receiving the judgement copy Sanjay Dutt sent to Arthur Road prison in Mumbai. He has to spend at least a week in jail before the hearing of bail plea.

Dutt’s lawyer will file bail plea in Supreme Court but according to prosecution bail application in apex court would take a minimum two months.

The prosecution at the same time will also appeal in SC for enhancing Dutt’s sentence to life imprisonment.

Under this circumstances Dutt will have to spend at least a week in jail before the bail application comes into the table of the apex court.

Today morning Dutt arrived at the Special Mumbai TADA Court expecting to receive his final judgement copy and following which he will have to surrender at the jail.

Earlier on July 31, the TADA’s court final judgement of Dutt’s conviction in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blast, awarded him a six-year rigorous imprisonment, and following which he spent few weeks in Pune’s Yerawada jail before being granted interim bail by the Supreme Court.

It might be a possibility that he would be transferred to Yerwada Jail due to security reasons.
