London, Aug 16 (ANI): A vice madam running a ring of high-class hookers, dubbed Gucci Girls, registered her business for tax, and earned 1.5million pounds in just ten months before she was busted.

Ramune Miniaskiene, who is the ringleader, is said to have a host of important clients, ranging from A-list clients to TV hosts, married judges and politicians, and they are all praying their names would not leak out.

On August 15, Miniaskiene, 32, a Lithuanian mum-of-one, and a former hooker who had come to Britain to learn English, was handed a six-month suspended jail term.

She had set up Abra Girls Ltd with a "menu of sexual services" on a website that nicknamed her hookers Gucci Girls, and showed saucy snaps of them.

The blondes and brunettes, who were on offer to the punters, were said to be "A-level escorts" worth up to 300 pounds a time, and they worked from at least 12 luxury flats in central London.

Anita Arora, prosecuting, told London's Southwark Crown Court that Miniaskiene registered her company for tax "but the figures supplied to the tax authorities in no way represent the amount of money earned".

She said that cops found almost 42,000 pounds, and the keys to a safety deposit box containing 30,000 pounds in a search of Miniaskiene's home in Thetford, Norfolk.

The madam did not realise she was breaking the law because she advertised the girls on the Internet, the court was told by Anand Beharrylal in defence.

"There was no attempt to disguise any activities. There was no trafficking or exploitation," the Sun quoted Beharrylal as saying.

Miniaskiene admitted conspiracy to control the activity of prostitutes and possessing criminal proceeds at an earlier hearing.

Her sentence was suspended for a year.

"The brothel had well-known clients including presenters on TV shows," a police source said later.

"Others were in the legal, political and medical professions. It would be very embarrassing for them if their names came out," the source added. (ANI)
