Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi tie the knot
Melbourne, Aug 17 (ANI): American stand up comedian Ellen DeGeneres has finally tied the knot with her long-term partner Portia de Rossi.
The ceremony took place about 4pm local time in the backyard of their 33.5 million dollars Beverly Hills estate.
"The two looked ecstatic and couldn't keep the smiles off their faces or their eyes off each other," the Daily Telegraph quoted a witness as saying.
"Portia looked stunning, like a real fairytale princess," the witness added.
For the wedding, De Rossi, 35, wore a plunging halter-neck that exposed her entire back, with a cream bodice and full skirt to the ground in blush pink. Her hair was swept up off her face.
The Geelong-raised actor's gown was reportedly by US designer Zac Posen.
DeGeneres, 50, wore a signature cream shirt, vest and pants combination.
About 20 guests were present at the intimate wedding, and after the ceremony was over the couple emerged from a marquee for official photos.
The pair kissed and hugged the whole time as the official photographer took their picture.
De Rossi said the couple did not want gifts, and were happy to have tied the knot.
"We don't need anything. We've been blessed enough," she said.
DeGeneres had announced her plans to wed her long-time girlfriend on her talk show in May, shortly after California's Supreme Court ruled the ban on gay marriages was unconstitutional. (ANI)
