Indian caller threatens to bomb Brit woman's house for not buying his phones!

London, Tue, 01 Sep 2009 ANI

London, September 1 (ANI): A foul-mouthed caller in India threatened to bomb a British woman's house after she refused to buy his phones.

The salesman also repeatedly swore at Clare Heeps, from Netherton, near Wishaw, Lanarkshire, calling her a "bitch", "common as s***e" because she was not interested in any of the mobiles he was trying to sell for the phone company '3' that has a major contact centre in Mumbai.

The 28-year-old mum politely declined after which the bully called her back five times within just 20 minutes, getting more and more abusive with every call.

"He told me it wasn't a sales call - he said it was 'a telephone marketing call, bitch'. Then he added, 'We know where you live, we'll come and bomb your house'," The Sun quoted Clare as saying.

She added: "When I called the phone company I got through to someone British - and he asked me if the caller had an Indian accent.

"He then told me to put my complaint in writing. He also said the calls would hopefully be recorded.

"I couldn't believe the salesman's language. I'd been really polite to him, as I know how horrible it is to be shouted at.

"I was upset to start with, then I got really annoyed. I unplugged the phone to stop him. But I wonder if he moved on to someone else.

"The man obviously has my phone number and now I'm wondering if he really has my address. It doesn't make me feel very safe at all."

A Strathclyde Police spokesman said: "We received a report of threatening phone calls and provided advice."(ANI)
