Oct 20: Nawab of Najafgarh Virender Sehwag is on cloud nine after becoming father of a son. His wife Aarti gave birth to a baby boy in the capital on Thursday.
Indian opening batsman Sehwag was so thrilled to become a father of a son two days before his own birthday. It is the best and precious gift of his life from his wife. Sehwag is celebrating his 29 th b’day on Saturday.
''I am feeling on top of the world at the moment, holding my son in my hands is a great feeling” Sehwag said.
''Thanks to Aarti, she gave me a lovely, priceless gift before my birthday,'' said Sehwag.
Replying on his son’s possibility to become a cricketer in the future, Sehwag said, ''I will not compel him to take up cricket.'' ''He has just born. We'll allow him to do whatever he wants to do in life. We'll support him for whatever he wants to pursue in his life.''
Aarti delivered the baby at 9 a.m. in the morning on Thursday at Kalra nursing home. According to the nursing home Director Dr RN Kalra the baby is quite healthy and in good health. The boy weighs 2 kg and 800 gm.
Sehwag is to play a lone Tewnty20 match against Australia today in Mumbai later in the evening and that’s why he left the capital on Friday evening.
