Lahore, Aug 16 (ANI): Saudi Arabia's intelligence chief Prince Muqran reportedly met President Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad and delivered him an important message from Saudi King Abdullah. Though, later a presidential spokesman denied any such meeting between the two.

Saudi Arabia wants to play its role in Pakistan's present political circumstances and it sent Muqran to Islamabad for reconciliation between Musharraf and the ruling coalition.

Muqran also met with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and former premier Nawaz Sharif, and asked him to show flexibility regarding a safe passage for Musharraf, the Daily Times quoted sources as saying.

However, Nawaz did not give a clear response on the issue.

Besides, Muqran also met PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain as well as the heads of sensitive organisations.

Meanwhile, senior PML-N leader Ishaq Dar also denied of any meeting between Nawaz and Muqran. "There has been no meeting between Nawaz and any Saudi official in the last 48 hours or even in the last four weeks," said Dar. (ANI)
