Demonstration against Jaswant's book on Jinnah
New Delhi, Aug 19 (ANI): Activists of the Rashtrawadi Sena Party on Wednesday staged demonstration against former senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jaswant Singh showering encomium on founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, in his book.
Led by its head and founder, Jai Bhagwan Goyal, the activists held demonstration amidst sloganeering here.
They burnt an effigy of Jaswant Singh and criticised BJP leaders for heaping praises on Jinnah.
"We don't know reasons for new found love for Jinnah among leaders of the BJP because of which they are insulting freedom fighters. Entire world knows that Jinnah was responsible for partition of India and Pakistan," said Goyal.
Goyal said that people praising Jinnah should be sent to Pakistan.
"Arrangements should be made to send such people to Pakistan immediately. Today, there is no place for such people in India and Indian politics because they may be physically present in India but their heart and mind is with Pakistan," said Goyal.
The book by Jaswant Singh on Mohammed Ali Jinnah has triggered a political storm in the country.
Newspapers quoted Jaswant Singh's book "Jinnah - India, Partition, Independence", as saying that Pakistan's founder was 'demonised in India'.
The BJP distanced itself from the controversy, saying the book only reflected an individual's opinions.
The book led to Singh's expulsion from BJP on Wednesday. (ANI)
